Assess the knowledge of assertive behavioral response on sexual abuse among adolescent girls in selected high school, Bhubaneswar

Background: Sexual abuse has a significant impact on essential areas of girl children emotional, moral, physical, and social development throughout their lives, jeopardizing lives. As result, it is crucial for girls to be assertive in standing against the abuse.Aim: The study planned measure level knowledge behavioral response sexual among adolescent selected high school, Bhubaneswar, Odisha associate with socio demographic variables.Methods Material: A descriptive was conducted by taking 200 belonging 8th, 9th 10th standards were conveniently from govt. school. self-structured questionnaire consists information like parents education working hours, distance between school house, means transport, leisure time activities, residence, mass media available home, previous exposure awareness programme prevention management regarding abuse. Their measured through which interpreted basis poor, average good knowledge.Result: Using inferential statistics, data analyzed accordance objectives. Among 80.5% had Knowledge, 19.5% them none poor knowledge. chi-square value age 10.602 DF = 3 at p .014 statistically p-value (.014) are less than 0.05, thus association found variables 5% level.Conclusion: major cause psychological emotional problems girls, some may never able overcome. Therefore different policies programmes should developed government agency implementation health educational adolescents curriculum.
